A hard-working committee of David McNab (Christchurch), Lindsay Dey (Dunedin), Gordon Stewart (Cromwell) and Ken Fergus (Christchurch) had cause for satisfaction last week.
Aftr months of tracking boys from the third form intake of 1962, the quartet was able to reflect on a successful '45 Years On' reunion staged in Dunedin over the weekend of 13th, 14th and 15th April.
More than 50 Old Boys, along with 30 wives and partners, attended the reunion which featured a Friday night get-together in the Shand, a conducted tour of the school - Rector Clive Rennie leading the way - on the Saturday morning and then an official dinner at the Savoy on the Saturday night.

The main guest speaker at the dinner was Dunedin's Mayor Peter Chin (1954-58) who rekindled memories from days gone by while the Rector also spoke, taking the opportunity to outline some of the changes at the school and in education in general in the intervening years.
As part of their organisational process, the committee was able to track all but a handful of the 1962 intake with these details having now been passed on to the Foundation, allowing another surge in the numbers on the ever-growing database of Old Boys' with whom contact has been regenerated.
