A great night was had by a capacity audience last night at the combined Foundation and Old Boys' Society End of Year Comedy Night featuring Faulty Towers.
Doug Kamo, Danny Still and Victoria Mills treated the raucous audience to a terrific display of physical humour and quick witted one liners whilst all the time bringing an abundance of nostalgia back by performing the wonderful characters of Basil, Sybil and Manuel.
The Leviathan Hotel turned on a great feast with there infamous ball room taking the audience well back to the 70's which proved perfect for the hilarious nature of the show.
OBHS Foundation Board of Trustee Andrew Moffat described the show as - "an absolutely brilliant night out - all the fun, mayhem and mad antics you'd expect at Faulty Towers.....and more!"
Other comments received include “If you are looking for a relaxing dining experience this is not the event to go to. A busy, fun, entertaining night , and yes somewhere during that is a three course meal", and "We laughed all night, thank you for a great night".
Warwick Larkins said, "From one who is constantly going to theatre and musical events I can honestly say that the performance last night in the Faulty Towers montage was right up there with the best. Well done and sincere congrats for a most professional evening".
The Foundation will look to bring the show back for an encore performance so those who missed out can have the opportunity to catch up with a few fellow Old Boys whilst enjoying a darn good laugh.
The event raised just over $1,000.00 for the Foundation.
