The Foundation Board of Trustees has decided to restructure the role of CEO, and from February 2012, will have a Development Manager established in the Foundation office. Development Manager

Fixed term contract – commencing early 2012

The Otago Boys’ High School Foundation is looking for a dynamic professional to lead the on-going development of the Foundation’s fundraising activities by building on existing strategies and developing and implementing new plans, and also growing and maintaining contact with the School’s alumni.

The successful applicant will be creative and self-motivated with exemplary communication skills. They must have demonstrable success in fundraising as this is paramount in the role, and strong administration skills are also vital.

This is a challenging sole charge position but one that is well rewarded.

The person we are looking for will have:

A successful track record in fundraising
An ability to communicate with alumni of all ages
The capacity to work on several fundraising and administrative fronts simultaneously
Strong administrative skills and an ability to productively use computer/database systems
An investigative streak to help track ‘missing’ Old Boys
An innovative, out-going and self-motivated approach to life

Otago Boys’ has a proud history over almost 150 years. Over 25,000 boys have been through the School, and whilst we know the whereabouts of around 17,000 of them, we are very keen to find the remaining 8,000 Old Boys before the 150th Celebrations in 2013.
