Mike Hesson (1988-1992)

Mike Hesson (1988-1992), now in charge of the State Otago Volts' cricketers, who have started their first-class programme in emphatic fashion with an outright victory over Northern Districts in Gisborne. Mike, who coached the Argentinian team last year, takes the reins from another Old Boy, New Zealand cricket's most prolific batsman Glenn Turner (1961-64). Glenn has 'retired' to Wanaka.

Jordan Sheed (1996-2000)

Jordan Sheed (1996-2000) is a member of the current Otago side, scoring 62 at the top of the order as the Volts cleared out early in the first innings in Gisborne.

Geoff Hall (1964-1968)

Geoff Hall (1964-1968), appointed to a full professorship in law at Otago University . Full professorships are only conferred after a rigorous six-month selection process with the recipients being those who have made outstanding contributions in research or professional practice, teaching and service. Congratulations to Geoff and to John Highton (medical and surgical sciences) who was noted in the November newsletter.
