Former Mayor and Foundation Senior Fellow dies

It is with sadness we report the passing of Stuart (Thomas Kay Stuart) Sidey (1922-25) in Wanaka on 28th October 2007, aged 99.

Stuart served as the Mayor of Dunedin between 1959 and 1965 and was a Dunedin city councillor between 1947 and 1963. He was a prominent businessman, was active in many facets of the city’s life and also proved successful as a race horse owner and breeder. Stuart was also a Senior Fellow of the Foundation.
